Stay Clean helps small hotels, guest houses, and homestays across India share a warning about guests who have caused serious damage or trouble — without exposing which property reported it.
What we do
A small property owner who suffers property damage has no way to warn anyone else, and no way to know whether an incoming guest has done the same elsewhere. Large chains share this information internally; independent properties have nothing.
Stay Clean gives them a shared record. An owner logs a guest at check-in and rates the stay at checkout. If that guest later checks in at another property on the platform and has a past review below 3 stars, that property sees the review before deciding.
How we try to keep it fair
A shared record about people carries real risk of misuse, so the design is deliberately narrow:
- Only reviews below 3 stars are ever shared. Ordinary stays are never surfaced.
- The reviewing property's name is never revealed — only its city.
- There is no browsable directory. Information appears only when a property actively checks that specific guest in.
- Guests are matched on mobile number or email. Aadhaar last-4 counts only alongside a matching name — four digits alone are shared by too many unrelated people to identify anyone.
- A warning is information, not an instruction. Stay Clean never refuses a booking; the property decides.
- Guests can dispute or delete their record by contacting us directly.
- Every access to a guest record is logged.
